Steve Hill

With a background in statistical data analysis, project management and administration he is ideally placed to oversee the project and help the various team members with the various tasks and goals the team has to complete. His main role as project lead is to organize research data, administration, project management solutions, advocacy and networking.

Working in research and in particular the field of regenerative medicine demands an ability to respond quickly and efficiently to changing situations. Whilst not from a research background per se his previous experience working as a manager in real time traffic control has given him the experience and ability to remain calm under pressure and help the team achieve its aims. His decades of experience in statistical data analysis, administration and planning gives him the ability to strategically plan and organize the various tasks the team must complete and help drive the project forward to meet deadlines and goals.

As an active longevity advocate he has a excellent knowledge of the regenerative medicine field that ranges from pharmaceutical sourcing, lab planning and costing to research and technology. Part of his role is contacting drug suppliers, animal breeders and other labs as part of the ongoing development of the project.

I represent Optimum Health a non government organization in Russia. My organization is supporting the development of the technologies to understand and potentially address the aging process and age-related diseases. I have been a longevity activist and advocate since 2013 when I started to hold educational events to make new evidence-based methods of healthy life extension more popular.

I am the co-author of the book “Aging prevention for all” which was recently issued in Russian and the book is being currently translated into several languages. You can download a copy of the Russian language version here if you would like to read more about evidence-based life extension methods.

I am an Honorary Member of the International Longevity Alliance (ILA), where I am responsible for the development of organizational processes and tools. I helped to develop the new ILA website and I am proud to be a part of the MMTP. My main role in the group is directing our IT team and I also help with networking and promotion activities.

Previously I worked in the pharmaceutical industry and the pharmaceutical advertisement sector, but I understood that it is more important to support fundamental science and medical innovations to get new therapies faster. My experience in the industry has given me valuable insights into how the MMTP can succeed and I use this knowledge to support the project.

I perceive aging as the number one problem, because it is the root of most major pathology like cancer, type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, Alzheimer's, arthritis, visual impairment and others. I believe that if we address aging decline and develop treatments to slow it down, counteract to it and eventually reverse then we will remove many health problems at once.

Helping people to obtain more years of healthy life is a worthy goal isn’t it?

Former researcher in biogerontology at UCLA, Inserm and the Pasteur Institute, where he contributed to lifespan tests in C. elegans and mice and organised clinical trials, Edouard is today one of the directors of the International Longevity Alliance (ILA). Since 2001 he has asserted human healthspan can be rapidly extended once large scale rodent lifespan tests, massive health data analysis and agile human trials are collectively set up. Since 2012 he is gradually but firmly building that pipeline with the help of the ILA.

Hosted by Gennady Stolyarov.

What can be done to raise public support for the pursuit of indefinite life extension through medicine and biotechnology to the same level as currently exists for disease-specific research efforts aimed at cancers, heart disease, ALS, and similar large-scale nemeses? In this panel discussion, set to occur on October 1, 2015 – International Longevity Day – http://www.longevityforall.org/intern... - Mr. Stolyarov asks notable life-extension supporters to provide input on this vital question and related areas relevant to accelerating the pursuit of indefinite longevity.

This panel is coordinated in conjunction with MILE, the Movement for Indefinite Life Extension – https://www.facebook.com/movementfori....

"BioViva is engaging in a bold implementation of genetic rejuvenation therapies - a first step on a path that I have been proposing for 15 years"
-Aubrey de Grey
"Elizabeth Parrish has taken the bull by the horns to spearhead an approach to cure aging using gene therapy that no one has ever had the guts to do before. Her gene therapy approach at BioViva makes all of the previous theoretical iterations of telomerase activation nearly obsolete. It will finally deliver on the promise of my team’s discovery of the hTR and hTERT genes at Geron Corporation and take that promise to the next, powerful and groundbreaking level. THIS is the future of Telomere Biology and therefore human longevity."
-Bill Andrews
Elizabeth Parrish is the Director of Outreach at the Complex Biological Systems Alliance (CBSA), Founder at BioTrove Investments, Secretary of the Board at the Regenerative Technology Alliance, and Admin Management at 3 Circles LLC

Liz is a leading voice of progress, reason, and education for the advancement of biotechnology and serves as a Motivational Speaker for the Life Sciences. She is actively involved in international educational media outreach and works with the International Longevity Alliance (ILA).

The Complex Biological Systems Alliance (CBSA) is an international multidisciplinary team of researchers investigating fundamental questions in biology and medicine. The CBSA is a unique platform for advanced scientific discourse and discovery. The mission of the CBSA is to further scientific understanding of biological complexity and the nature and origins of human disease.

To this end, the CBSA is developing novel mathematical, statistical, and experimental models to uncover fundamental threads of molecular information essential to key cellular functions and biological processes. CBSA members are afforded access to these tools to expedite scientific publication of their research. Moreover, these models provide the means to establish a new paradigm in evolutionary biology.

BioTrove Investments is committed to offering a meaningful way for people to fund research in biotech. This research will help alleviate disease caused by cellular degeneration. New evidence supports the important role of genetics, stem cells, and biotech on health, longevity, and curing of disease. BioTrove Investments wishes to advance research throughout the world to accomplish cures and improve resistance to defects and disease, as well as to achieve physical improvements in the human body. They intend to create a voice for progress, reason, and education for the advancement of biotech.

The Regenerative Technology Alliance (RTA) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association that brings together individuals, companies, and organizations who work in advancing the emerging field cell & regenerative medicine.

The mission of the RTA is to be a strong and unifying voice in the emerging field of regenerative technologies; to bring together the leaders of this field to develop true global standards for the processing of human tissues & cells used in the field of regenerative medicine; to provide leadership to effectively self-manage & self-police the industry; and to actively engage with regulators & health agencies to develop a third way model for the safe translations of cell therapies from the bench to the bedside.

In this podcast I read Death is Wrong by Gennady Stolyarov II. A number of people have recommend or requested I record myself reading. Enjoy.

From the book's Amazon page:

If you have ever asked, "Why do people have to die?" then this book is for you. The answer is that no, death is not necessary, inevitable, or good. In fact, death is wrong. Death is the enemy of us all, to be fought with medicine, science, and technology. This book introduces you to the greatest, most challenging, most revolutionary movement to radically extend human lifespans so that you might not have to die at all. You will learn about some amazingly long-lived plants and animals, recent scientific discoveries that point the way toward lengthening lifespans in humans, and simple, powerful arguments that can overcome the common excuses for death. If you have ever thought that death is unjust and should be defeated, you are not alone. Read this book, and become part of the most important quest in human history. This book was written by the philosopher and futurist Gennady Stolyarov II and illustrated by the artist Wendy Stolyarov. It is here to show you that, no matter who you are and what you can do, there is always a way for you to help in humanity’s struggle against death. "I thought the book was fun to read and important in what it tries to accomplish." - Zoltan Istvan, Psychology Today
